About The Collaboration

The collection includes handmade silk scarves, t-shirts, and tote bags featuring the text "I'm A Thousand Different People—Every One Is Real" from pioneering transgender actress and muse Candy Darling. To promote the vision at the core of the collection, the Museum and TRAVIS TADDEO conceived a full campaign photographed by New York-based photographer Deonté Lee.

In honor of Pride month, the collection launches on June 20th, bringing together the worlds of art and fashion to celebrate the wide spectrum of identities and experiences across the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the oath-making spirit of its culture.

The campaign features actor Brigette Lundy-Paine, Mugler muse Connie Fleming, performance artist Kembra Pfahler, curator Souleo, and author and creative Jezz Chung, along with members of the Leslie-Lohman community. The campaign also spotlights Co-Founders Travis Taddeo and Raphaël Dongier and the Museum's Executive Director, Alyssa Nitchun.

The new collection will be available on travistaddeo.com, at the TRAVIS TADDEO store, and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in SoHo, New York from June 20th. Proceeds from sales will support the Museum's ongoing and future programming.

"This Pride, having the privilege of creating with my peers in our community brings a sense of strength and limitless freedom. Individual expression is so important to our growth — it inspires and lights the way to our future."
